Student Design Days
We had the wonderful opportunity to hear from every single student at Elijah House Academy what they thought about their school, and what they would like to see their new school look like. We heard all sorts of things—about how they would like to see bigger classrooms, vending machines, slides from classroom to classroom, even rollercoaster playgrounds. Suffice to say, the kids aren’t short of ideas. We probably won’t build a school out of marshmallows (yes, we heard that one), but we will be able to sift through the kids thoughts and find larger themes about how the students fell about and relate to their school’s built environment.
